HOOK SIZE #10 DAIICHI 1550

THREAD (BODY) PALE YELLOW 6/0 UNITHREAD

THREAD (HEAD) OLIVE 6/0 UNITHREAD

BODY PALE YELLOW CHENILLE (I USE A FINE DIAMETER)

UNDER WING ANTRON FIBRES (OR HI-VIS)

LEGS RED OR ORANGE UNISTRETCH

OVER WING BROWN MOTTLED TURKEY (REINFORCED WITH VINYL CEMENT)

HEAD OLIVE DYED DEER HAIR

METHOD

PREPARE ALL MATERIALS E.G CEMENT TURKEY WING AND TRIM KNOT RUBBER LEGS. ETC

1/ START THREAD AND SECURE CHENILLE ON THE TOP OF THE HOOK FROM ¾ LENGTH AND BIND IT BACK TO THE BEND. THEN WRAP JUST SHORT OF THE ¾ MARK.

2/ TIE THE ANTRON FIBRES IN ON TOP OF THE HOOK AT THE END OF CHENILLE AND TRIM THEM JUST PAST THE END OF THE HOOK.

3/ TIE IN LEGS UP AT THE ¾ MARK (EACH TIME WE TIE A MATERIAL IN WE MOVE SLIGHTLY FORWARD OF THE LAST TO KEEP THE BULK DOWN)

4/ TIE THE TURKEY WING LEVEL WITH THE END OF THE HOOK AT THE ¾ MARK. WHIP FINISH AND CEMENT.

5/ START THREAD AT EYE OF THE HOOK AND WRAP TO THE ¾ MARK. STACK SOME DEER HAIR AND TRIM THE LENGTH OF THE HOOK WITH THE HAIR IN YOUR RIGHT HAND BETWEEN YOUR THUMB AND FOREFINGER TIE IN AT THE ¾ MARK AND BIND FORWARDS TO THE EYE (NOTE THE CUT EDGES OF THE HAIR SHOULD BE IN LINE WITH THE ¾ MARK AND NO FURTHER BACK) AND WRAP THE TREAD BACK AND LEAVE AT THE ¾ MARK. WITH A HALF HITCH TOOL OR A BIC PEN PUSH THE HAIR BACK TO REVEAL THE EYE WITH THE PEN STILL IN PLACE PULL BACK THE HAIR AS TIGHT AS POSSIBLE (MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL THE HAIR FIBRES) NOW BIND DOWN AND FORM A COLLAR AND WHIP FINISH, CEMENT AND OFF YOU GO!!!!!!!
