Fly Tying Workshops

Due to popular demand we are running another round of fly tying workshops in our lodge over the coming months. These workshops are limited to only nine people and Learning to tie flies is fun with us at Goulburn Valley Fly Fishing Centrewill be conducted at regular intervals over the next 12 months.

Participants will learn the most common techniques as well as the most important fly patterns. We will run through a range of the fly patterns used locally and explain the tying methods as well as fishing techniques, all the while relating it back to the life cycle of the various insects they represent.

These workshops are a lot of fun and they are perfect for those making the first steps into fly tying or wanting to expand on the basics that they may have learned in the past.Tying flies is easy and simple and we can introduce in a one day session

Join us in the comfort of our lodge for one of these days. The fire will be going, there will be plenty of good conversation and you will tie flies that you can then take out any water from the Victorian high country to the freestone rivers of the South Island and catch fish with.

Cost per person is $150 including all tuition, fly tying materials, drinks and BBQ lunch.

Dates - None scheduled at the moment but done onarrangement at the normal teaching rate
