Beginner's Fly Fishing Tuition

The best way to learn to fly fish is with a professional instructor at your shoulder. Getting the right tuition early on is paramount to success and short-cuts the learning process by years.

Here at GVFFC we have been teaching fly fishing for 15 years. During this time we have perfected the process and offer Australia's best fly fishing teaching service.

Instruction is usually done in two major ways. Firstly there are our well known weekend group workshops. These workshops are the most cost-effective way of getting a start in the sport. Workshops are conducted in-house utilising our world class facility as well as on local waterways. One instructor for every four participants makes for a healthy teaching environment.

The second and more popular option is our private tuition. This is available on any day and at any time and so fits in with busy schedules imposed by either work or family! Private tuition is usually 1:1 or 1:2. Larger groups i.e. private workshops can be arranged as needed. All services are available at an hourly, half or full day rate. The other option is a basic one hour lesson called 'An Introduction to Fly Fishing' which we are known for. We have done thousands of these short sessions over the years and have enabled each participant to walk away with a firm understanding of the concepts of fly casting.
